Lost items in Vista Start Menu

  TCawth 07:44 05 Apr 08

I run Vista Home Premium and recently on every boot up all but three programs are missing from the left-hand side of the Start Menu (AOL, Windows Live Messenger and IE - which happen to be the first three of my list of programs) Usually I can restore the full list by changing the properties to Classic Start Menu and back again to the normal Vista view but this does not always work. I do not recall altering any settings that would cause this problem and any advice would be appreciated.

System Restore?

  TCawth 16:42 06 Apr 08

Sorry to be so long in responding rawprawn but I would not be able to do a System Restore as the fault has been going on intermittently for a while but is gradually getting worse. I would not know how far to go back for a Restore.
