Lost icons on control panel

Is there an easy way to get them back than to reinstal windows ME, please?

Thanks Stuartli. Am sorry it didn't work so I'll reinstall Windows. I don't know why this has happened. My network icons are also not appearing in the all network etc page.

Icons have come back, Symantec (whom Windows blamed (see below)) advised what to do.

Uninstalling Norton AntiVirus/GoBack manually causes control panel to display as a Web page - although icons are not seen their total no. is shown at the bottom! So back to Control Panel Tools/General as you advised but switching radio buttons from Web to Classic Folders.

Tried to solve problem by reinstalling Windows but Windows said to quit, referring to Documents in the CDRom which in turn advised problems occur if 'GoBack v2' and 'AntiVirus' not disabled when reinstalling etc. GoBack v2 cannot be disabled but mine's v3 and is great.
