Hallo!

Well, what the problem is, after a format, i installed my secondary harddrive aagin! But, the difference is this time, its showing as 127GB and not 160GB!

I've ran partition magic to check ffor any hidden partitions but none showed up! and formatteded countless times!
I checked in bios and there harddrive still apears in there...as 160gb!

Im currently running Windows Xp.

Any help is much appreciated.

Grant

Don't know if any of this will help but here are my thoughts.
Check what file system you are using to format, as I believe fat32 has drive size limitations. You should format using NTFS file system.
You could also create two partitions on this drive. This may allow you to see the full drive size in windows XP.

I have just spent the last 14 or so hours trying to get 'fdisk' to do what i wanted...it works but it's not exactly a cake walk.

If you are using Win98 fdisk or the old version , that may be the trouble. If you have Partition Magic why do you use FDISK
