We have got windows Vista. still losing GB's.Viewed a pie chart of hard drive but can't see details of what is using up the space/Lost 160 GB just today. 3/4 of hard drive gone and only had the computer since Jan.done system restore and have the shadow settings done as previously recommended. At the rate the drive is going feel the only option is sysytem recovery but dont want to take this drastic step if we could only find out somehow, where the space is going.according to our computer we have used 226 GB! out of a 250GB harddrive. our music pics downloads only come to a few of this. Is there any way to view details and get rid on the problem? any help appreciated.

Log on to XP? and download SAS and Asquared. Update both. Reboot and tapF8(F5 for some) To get to screen for safe mode. Pick safemode without internet and click enter.
Run both programs and delete what they find.
See how it goes.
