Lost certificates

Hi Folks

Suddenly for no apparent reason i am unable to gain access to some web sites because they tell me that i have lost their web site security certificate. What does this mean, how can it happen and what do i need to do ?

Just a long shot - this can happen if your system tray clock is wrong

Sea urchin is on the right track the most common cause for this issue is the date and time on your PCis wrong which would suggest a dying CMOS battery.

If you do change your CMOS battery you might want to backup your bios settings first so you can restore them after fitting a new battery,,,

Thanks for that Mat Alan.
Clock ok.
The sites tell me that the security certificate is out of date or has not been set up.My protection updates will not update or fix as well.

All this seems to have gone wrong just after my internet security system actioned a full scan.
