Lost Capacity

  BoilerOil 10:29 08 Jul 10

I have a Corsair Flash Voyager 8GB, when I plug it in to a USB port go to my computer, right click on Removable Disk, Properties, Hardware, Corsair Flash Voyager USB Device, Properties, Volumes, click on Populate, on the list it says Capacity 7930 MB, Unallocated space 4096 MB, the disk has lost half of its capacity, any ideas on how to recover the unallocated space would be most appreciated.

Thank you for your help.

Back it up and reformat it. Right click the drive then Format.

Most flash drives are formatted to FAT32. Which does have size limits.

Although I have two 8GB microSD cards which are fine.

Have a google or wiki on formatting flash.
