lost access to partition

I had a 3 way boot option with 3 partitions each with it's own operating system-games-office-video.
while using norton ghost I accidently pressed the wrong button and got the message on bootup "no operating system" Following norton advice I used fdisk to make my c drive active,but deleted a 1% partition thinking it was created by "ghost".this was my 3 way boot option.Now I can use my c "office partition" but cannot access the other partitions as they have no letter allocated.Is a re-format the only answer,if so will re-formatting "c" give me back the whole of my hard drive.

Reformating c will not but fdisk will - it will remove the whole partitions.

But try booting with a floppy and at the a prompt, type

fdisk /mbr

this should fix the master boot record if it is damaged.

If you have partition magic, it might help to get you going.

But I would suggest a fdisk and the repartition.
