Plus this possibility:

"Some users have reported that using the Real Player One utility has deleted restore points. Please review your System Event Viewer log for System Restore events for a volume error event. You are creating that many restore points that likely the disk space allocated is full and some are having to be removed.Try increasing allocated space to maximum.

You should not need to make a new one every day. How much free drive space you got? also check how much as been alocated % wise for Restore points in Restore Settings C:\Drive

Thanks for all your comments much appreciated, Have checked out every thing you have suggested but still cannot work out why it deletes ALL the restore points.........Hdd is 120gb and 100gb is free SR allocates 12% the max ??
I don't use real player
but thanks your all really helpful over many things

Just a small point - 12 per cent is the default System Restore allocation but was set in the days when hard drive capacities were very much smaller than today.

With a big drive like yours four or five per cent such be sufficient - I use five per cent on a 60GB drive.
