i'm running NT 4.0 WORKSTATION on a laptop , but every time i turn it on it says PRESS CTRL + ALT + DEL TO LOGON , i do this and then just press enter when the logon screen comes up , is there any way to stop it asking me to press ctrl/alt/del .

Are you an Administrator? Typing gpedit.msc into the run box on a NT/2000/XP machine should bring you to the policy editor. You need I think Administrator privileges though.
