Logitech support site isnt too helpful.
Have an XP SP2 machine, Intel Dual Core... all current specs.

Tried plugging in the microphone and windows didnt recognise it, no new hardware wizard or anything. It is plugged into a USB Hub, first port nothing, second port light came on but still no new hardware wizard.
Pl;ugged it directly into the PC and it rebooted the system.
I understand it might be an issue with the usbaudio.sys.
Not sure where to go with this, any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Try unplugging it,Switch your computer off,Plug it back in and restart computer,it worked for someone last week.Worth a try I suppose.

Thanks for the idea, but no such luck.
I have been reading about an issue with the USBAUDIO.SYS file, I did a search and noticed that there are various copies of this file in various locations but not all the same.

I checked my laptop and I only have one (newer) version, can I simply copy and paste this to the computer in the same location and delete the others?

Thanks

yes

you coud also try to refreshthe USB ports first
Refresh USB Ports
In device manager Uninstall EVERYTHING under the heading USB,
reboot the PC let XP find and install new hardware.
Your equipment should now be recognised.
