Logitech cordless mouse batteries

Hi we have a cordless logitech click plus model mouse. It came with a rechargeable battery pack but after 2 years this is now showing mouse batteries critical,I have replaced these with 2 normal rechargeable nickel cadium aa batteries is this ok?

Should be ok but I'd be happier with Ni-Mh

Don't see why not. If the batteries in the mouse were NICAD replace with NICAD, if they were NIMH replace with NIMH. Only reason I say that is I'm unsure if the charger will charge correctly if you change batteries for another material.
If the previous ones were NICAD then its fine.
