Login to computer by just switching it on

Hi i want to be able to turn on the computer and thats it loads up onto the desktop. My laptop does it but i dont know how to do it with my Desktop Computer. There is only one user on it me and i dont have a password so can anyone tell me how to tell the computer to automaticly sign into my user account.

Assuming that this is Windows XP, Start, Run, type in

control userpasswords2

and click OK. Untick "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer".

If you are on a machine with a single user account it will log straight into that account.

right thats me just got it to start up LOL i comes up on the login screen then says "Windows is Starting up..." and then just stayes there. So i tried restarting it about 10 times then started it up on safe mode and ticked the boz again.

forgot to say the box is when i type in "Control userpasswords2" and untick the box but i ticked it again

Maybe you've got several accounts on there?

TweakUI click here has an option to Autologon and you can set which account to log on to.
