Logging on to Wireless BB for e-mails

Hi all,
My son has just taken delivery of his first computer. A Wireless Acer Laptop running Vista.
He has a dial-up account with Supanet, which he currently uses via my computer, in O.Express.
Whilst we were away, the hotel had wireless & we were trying to set the computer up,,,, one important item was the e-mail bit.
We don’t know how to set things up for his supanet e-mails on WiFi. We opened up the e-mail package & got his details inserted,,,, but that’s as far as we got.
Would someone be kind enough to inform us of what to do please ?

Many thanks

I am AOL. Can use their website to access email.
via Internet Explorer with my login/pwd.

Also have Outlook set up with a new IMAP account.
(not Outlook Express)

You need to set up something like Add account with settings.

smtp.yourISP.whatever
pop3.etc
IMAP.etc

Search your website/ Call your helpline.
It's a common problem. Answer should be quick.

Thanks Robin, am not sure what IMAP is.
He is already registered with Supanet, so we have his SMTP & POP3 bit done.
The problem is, that whilst away for a couple of days (in robin hood country) he went on-line using the hotel Wireless BB. When we set up his Supanet details, it obviously wants to connect to Dial Up system. This is where i'm flummoxed.

If he has to, he can (i think) use supanet web-mail system, but he'd prefer to use Outlook Express if possible.

I'll drop supanet a line for advice.

cheers Robin.
