Can some one please tell me how to remove the above. I don't require a password to be entered, so just press enter and it complets the boot up. Preferably with out down loading a tool if possible. Thanks David

In Windows XP

Start, Run, type in

control userpasswords2

and click OK. Untick "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer".

I carried out the syntax mentioned, and unticked the "Users Log into ..." . Re-booted and it brought up the Admin dialog with Admin and password to enter. I thought I would have to reinstall everything, but then put my admin user ID and blank P/W and got back into Windows XP.

What I need - I don't want the Admin dialog to be displayed. I don't want to create a new user if possible.
I just want windows to boot straight to the Desk top. Thanks for any ideas. David
