I on a number of occasions have attempted to load programmes of delete programmes and have been told I do not have the necessary rights to do this and must be logged in as an administrator. But I am, can someone explain how to get round this?

Start up in safe mode, then make your changes.

Thanks but sorry for sounding dumb but how do I make the changes, at present I do not have to log in at all, as I am the only users on this computer. And according to the user accounts I am an administrator!

To get into safe mode, repeatedly press F8 during normal start-up - you can then use the computer as normal. You do not need to log-in as such.

Being shown as Administrator in accounts does not necessarily make any difference.
