Local area connection missing

  Wessie 09:20 01 Apr 04

I have installed windows 2000 on my computer and I found that the local area connection was missing and my understanding is that it is installed by default. Looking in Device manager there is a yellow exclamation mark next to PCI Device and Universal Serial Bus (USB) controller. Can you please advise me how I can resolve these problems. Thanks!

Hi, You need to instal the drivers for the PCI device and the USB controller. The USB driver would normally be on your motherboard installation disc and your PCI device would have come with an installation CD or floppy. If you dont have these, you will have to go to the relevant web sites to get and download the drivers. Cheers, Bill
