My daughter has just purchased a new laptop. The CD R/RW is specified as litescribe. Will she have to purchase a specific media for this or will any blank CD disk do? Thank you

She'll need special Lightscribe blank disks. Note that, at present, Lightscribe prints only in black. The print quality is excellent but the process is very slow.

Basically the process involves burning the data or music content in the usual way, then turning the disk over and burning the 'label' artwork onto the Lightscribe side. Both processes use the same laser I think.

Hope this helps a bit.

Hi denali
any media can be used, You only have to use the Lightscribe discs if you want to burn a Lightscribe label
