There was 5 authorised users on this pc.Now when turn pc on just 1 users name left. However, I go to Control Panel & Users & all the names are still there. Not deleted any of them. So what can I do to get them back on the log-on screen?

Looks like your PC is not saving the changes in the registry?

Probelms such as corruption can cause this.

If I type the names in, then Windows will go to the correct desktop, but the list has gone that just simply had to click on the name.

I managed to solve it myself!! :-)Heres how-
To display a list of users when Windows starts

On the desktop, right-click My Network Places, and then click Properties.
Click Add, click Client, and then click Add again.
In the list on the left, click Microsoft.
In the list on the right, click Microsoft Family Logon, and then click OK.
In the Primary Network Logon box, click Microsoft Family Logon.
