What are you trying to read? I use Linux and none of my Widows users have any problem reading any disk I've burnt using Linux Xandros.

Its the file format I'd be interested in knowing.

I bet the're UDF format.

I don't know what file format the disks are. When i insert my burned dvd into a windows computer, it says "YOU HAVE INSERTED A BLANK DVD. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?"

ps. does windows have a problem wit the UDF format?

This is what Mikè is refering to click here I don't think its anything to do with Linux, its how the disk was formatted, just scroll down the page a bit on the link.

Phew! Thanks Guys, i searched on Google for a UDF file reader, and came up trumps with BadCopy3 Trial edition. It recovered my lost files, although i would like to see a slight upgrade, as i ended up with

File 1.xls
File 2.doc
File 3.sys

but thanks anyway. I managed to recover my files.
