My dad is restricting my internet use and I would like to know if there is a way to go in the router and change the settings. The username and password is not the default. I have already tried hitting the reset button on the back of the router, and that worked but he caught on and said dont do that.

If there isnt a way into the router without knowing the login is there a way to connect to the internet through the cable modem?

Or maybe is there a program that overides the restrictions. I just gotta know the login and i know what to do from there.

Just give me anyway to connect to the internet. Thanks.

If it is your dad that is paying the bill then it's up to him.

If my son tried that sort of thing after being told that he was being restricted I would disconect him altogether for a while!!!!!!!

is it possible for me to just directly wire into the cable modem? do i need to configure anything or will it automatically connect without a setup? I cant test it right now because im in class. Would direct connection to the modem work though?
