Trying to get my head around how this works.
Ok say you use Broadband AOL on a laptop.

Comet say you don't need to use the BroadBand USB Modem supplied by AOL as this Wireless device connects you to the internet. Is this correct Please ?

I just don't see how it can connect to the internet without a modem.

I thought that its used to link up 2 comptuers say a Laptop with the modem and a Computer/Laptop together so only 1 Modem is needed. Am I right on this please.

your suspicions are right

you need an adsl broadband modfem connected to the pc and then a wireless access point also connected to that "sever" pc to transmit the broadband to the laptop.

Alternatively, you would be better with an all-in one broadband modem/router/network switch/wireless aceess point.

Both your pc and laptop can then connect to this wirelessly, to access broadband and to share files and printeres etc.

Belkin/Linksys/D-Link?netgear all make them £70-£100 plus wireless card for laptop etc.
