linking text within a page of text

I'm creating a web site and have one page which is full of text.
I want to have something on the top of this page so I can select certain headlines within the same page of text.
How do I do this, I'm using dreamweaver and very new to web design.
I have seen it done but have no idea how to do it.

Not sure how to do it in Dreamweaver the code is:

This goes at the top of the page and by clicking on these links will take you to the relevant section at the bottom of the page.

<a href="#football">This is football</a>
<a href="#rugby">This is rugby</a>
<a href="#snooker">This is snooker</a>

These are the relevant sections at the bottom of the page.

<a name="football">You will jump to here (football)</a>
<a name="rugby">You will jump to here (rugby)</a>
<a name="snooker">You will jump to here (snooker)</a>

Sounds right to me. We'll find out if it isn't what he had in mind.
