Linking printer to laptop?

I have a desktop computer (with XP) linked to a Canon Pixima 4000 printer. My laptop was also on XP and connected to the printer via the wifi router. (I think I have explained this correctly) However, I now have Vista on the laptop and I have installed the printer, but it no longer connects to the laptop??? Could anybody assist me with this problem please?

You need to run the Network Wizard in Control Panel. You need both computers and Printer Switched on to do this. Read all the Info in the Wizard and create a disc to use on the other computer when it asks you to make one

Thanks woodchip for your time. Do you mean using the network wizard on XP on the desktop?

Any XP computer will do it. It does not work with Win2K
