At work, the computers recently had Windows XP installed. Ever since then, one of the computers has lines across normal.dot in Word. Everytime you open a new blank document, It looks just like a feint ruled pad. Although it doesn't print with the lines. Also, some of the templates have grids on them when you open them. Any suggestions?

Has anyone been using tables?

Some people use them to align words or sentences neatly, perhaps for a CV.

Try deleting (or renaming) normal.dot. A new version will be created. This should indicate whether the problem is with normal.dot or elsewhere.
