Limited or no connectivity

I set up my wireless network through my Macbook. Macbook connects to internet with no problems.

But my PC (which uses Netgear wireless adaptor) won't, despite being able to detect the network and the signal strength being 'very good' or 'excellent'.

Eventually it times out, saying there is 'limited or no connectivity'.

Does anybody have any idea what the problem might be?

Has your PC been given a static IP? To check right click my network places > properties, right click your wireless connection > properties, double click TCP/IP (you may need to scroll box the white box). Everything in the window that appears should be set to obtain automatically

A couple of thoughts and other things to try ...

Use Windows to manage your wireless connection , if you are using the supplied Netgear software .

Try using a different or shorter WPA or WEP code ( this quite often make a difference )

Another thing that can happen , on older , less powerful laptops is that although they can " see " the network well they lack the power/memory to resolve the encryption and fail to connect , hence my second suggestion . What is the spec of the Windows machine ?
