Lightscribe woes

Hi guys..

Having purchased a HP dvd 940i lighscribe drive i found that the "contrast" on the printed discs was very low..there was a firmware patch to improve this but i cant find it anywhere..have any of you guys come across it?

Not firmware but lightscribe software. There seems to be a problem with the site at the moment as the latest version (136) loads the previous version(124) and the enhanced burning software is unavailable. Site is click here

You must use the best contrast as is possible to make the image. You can burn the image twice as it aligns perfectly as long as the image is not altered. The coating on the discs can vary a bit, I have had some superb burns and some less so.
