Life's little annoyances...

When my PC first starts up I have to right click mt little Belkin Config utility in the system tray and 'Enable Windows Zero Configuration' so that I can get an actual Internet connection. If I do not do this, I can still access my network: but I have no Internet access.

The WZC service is set to autostart, but it doesn't seem to.

Is the Belkin Adapter the F5D7050 by any chance?

It's almost certainly the Belkin Config Utilty that's turning the WZV off in the first place. Make sure the Belkin Utility doesn't autostart when you boot XP and you might find everythings OK.

You been crreping up on people in the night? Thats exactly what it is! : )

dms05, any idea on how to stop the Belkin Config Utility from starting up? I can't see an entry anywhere in MSConfig for the utility, or within the application itself.

Tis all OK. I just uninstalled the Wireless Config Utility, and it's fine now. I did have to re-install the drivers, but as the saying goes: It's easy when you know how.

Cheers guys,
Jay
