LG GSA-4163B & Nero Burning ROM 5.5

I'm trying to get a brand new LG GSA-4163B to work with Nero Burning ROM 5.5, but the drive is not recognised as a recorder, not even after doing an AUTODETECT from the EXTRA Menu. AUTODETECT finds the GSA-4163B drive but does not list it as a recorder. Up to now I've used a LG GCC-4120B as a master drive without any problems and the GCC-4120B is still working fine as a slave drive (GSA-4163B is now the master drive).

What I've done:
Physically installed the GSA-4163B as a master drive on the secondary IDE controller
Upgraded the firmware of the GSA-4163B from A102 to A103 using the file from the LG website
Physically installed the GCC-4120B as a slave drive on the secondary IDE controller (jumper changed!)
The DEVICE MANAGER reports: This device is working properly.
The GSA-4163B works fine for installing software, listening to music and with Power DVD XP for reading DVD-ROM discs as well as self recorded DVD-RAM discs with TV material from my Panasonic DMR-55 Recorder.

Having no joy with my Nero v5.5 I carried out the following:
Used the clean tool (Nero website): NeroCleanTool_1140
Install NeroBurningRom v5.5 from CD in GSA-4163B
Executed file from Nero Website: Nero551056 and installed WMA support
Replace CDROM.CFG file with new CDROM.CFG file from Nero website
Start NeroBurning ROM
Choose Recorder: only GCC-4120B listed
AUTODETECT CD-ROM lists GSA-4163B as an unsupported drive (CDPARAM text file is attached)
Still not available as a recorder.
Also the Nero Wizard shows the DVD option passive in grey, only the CD option is active.

My system:
PCChips Motherboard ML811, KT266a
Athlon 2000
DDR-RAM 266 512MB
LG GCC-4120B, firmware ?
LG GSA-4163B, firmware A103
Win 2000, Version 5.00.2195, Service Pack 4
