LexBce Srevices problem

  newface 17:40 20 Jul 09

I used to have a Lexmark printer which I have since got rid of. I have noticed that everytime I start up my PC Zonealarm tells me that LexBce wants to start a port on the system and asks me to allow or deny it.
When I checked on this via start- control panel- admin tools, it shows that LexBce has other services dependent on it, namely Print Spooler.
How can I get rid of this unnecessary service without affecting Print Spooler?

try going to start - run - services.msc then scrolling down to the Lex entry double click on it and then in the drop down list 'disable'. Restart your pc and with luck no more message and you may possibly have to uninstall your new printer from start - settings - Printers and Faxes - then reboot and the printer will be set up again and if a spooler is required it will be installed.
