LED destroyed by 'Touch' table lamp

I have had this bulb in a table lamp on my computer desk for some time. I put it in a new 'touch' table lamp and it has gone very dim.

Putting it back in the normal lamp, it has not recovered.

Could it be the output from the 'touch' lamp has damaged the LED bulb components?

Does the new lamp have a dimmer feature? If so then it has probably ruined the bulb. Dimmers tend not to mix with energy saving bulbs.

Thanks, no dimmer. I've put in a low energy lamp, that's OK.
