Leaving mail on mail server... How?

My main computer has gone severely wrong - and I couldn't fix it. So it's gone to my Mr Local Fixit for a couple of working days.

As a get by, I'm using my 'work' laptop at home to do what bits that I can.

What I would like to do is to be able to keep up to date with reading any e-mails using my laptop but leave them on the server so that I can download them properly when my main machine is back early next week.

Allowing for running on the laptop...

Win 98SE

Outlook Express 5

My mail server is...

ntlworld.com

Is there an easy way I can preview my mail and leave it on the server?

I've tried talking to ntl on the phone, but that annoying tune gets a bit much after a while!

TIA

Chris

Hello CTA

Select Tools, Accounts

Highlight the desired email account.

Click Properties.

Go to the Advanced tab.

Make sure Leave a copy of messages on server is selected.

That's where I hadn't got to - setting up the account - in case I slightly 'bent' my ability to not keep 'em.

I shall toddle off and do that.
