i have read a few articles which say you can flash the card bios and fool it to think its a fx5950. the bios update on the card is live as in you do not need to turn the pc off. the winfast software lets you read the existing bios on the card and then a rom image you have downloaded to update but because there is a difference between the two, model no etc, it wont let you update it .........any ideas!
thanks

Usually you need to use a "Hex Editor" prog to change the card id in the new BIOS(I did this with my old CD/RW's Firmware)Its not an operation for the faint hearted,as get it wrong and the hardware is usually scrap.
