LCD monitor screen turning green problem

"Samsung SyncMaster 710m LCD.

The problem is that lately a strange green colour start appearing on the screan. First I used to restart my pc and it would just dissapear. But now its there all the time and i have a feeling that it's increasing.

The green colour replaces original black colours, but it also appears on other colours.

I tried adjusting some monitor settings and stuff but nothing changed. I also tried unpluging and then repluging the cable, again, nothing."

Any ideas on the cause of this?

it sounds like you have a magnetic influence, have you any speakers or the like in close proximity?

Magnetism does not affect TFT screens - only CRT.

It could be a monitor, cable or graphics card problem. First you need to isolate which by judicious swapping with other systems.

Try moving the cable about, in case there's a break in a wire.
