LCD Monitor problems

I have had a LCD monitor for about 2 months now and it has started to play up these past 2 days. As it boots up the screen writing goes all wobbly and I get white and red lines appearing on the screen. It stops when I get to the log in screen. On my old monitor I used to get the wobbly writing all the time and thought it was the monitor and that's why I purchased a new one, but this has now happened. Does anyone have any ideaas what it could be. ie: could it be anything to do with the graphics card.

This sounds as though it could well be a graphics card related issue... does the monitor settle down and work correctly after bootup?

This is a graphic card issue, and/or monitor driver issue/ conflict.
Check monitor driver.
Delete it and restart to see if Windows default will run clean.
If not check monitor Web site for a driver update.
Then do the same for graphic card driver.
