I am planning to treat myself to an lcd monitor. I am looking to spend £150 - £250, can anyone recommend a good make or model?

I've got a 17" Samsung Syncmaster 710v that's adequate for my needs. Around £180. mate of mine got a TFT from aria for Christmas. 17" 12ms response time, £160 (I think delivery is extra of course)

The 2 things to look for when getting a TFT is responce time (MS, lower the number the better) and that it has a DVI connector (d-sub is the same type of connector that CRT monitors use).

there are a lot of good monitors in your price range, it all comes down to what you are going to use your monitor for.
