Is the latest Microsoft patch safe to install?

Sorry, but with the severe problem I have had with flippin updates, is Q818529, Cumulative patch for IE safe to install?

Anyone had problems?

I am not risking it until I am sorted with Norton and have drive Image.

When did this patch arrive? havent had that yet. On XP pro.

As per my posting above yours looking for MS site to find out about problem patch I downloadedlast week. Knocked me off line and had to pay to get connection set up again. either patch 811493(new version) or Q815021 for XP. Doesnt like Symantec Firewall which I have.

Spoke too soon. Windows update is at it again - must be patch you are on about. Very wary now.

I had severe problems after installing this update / patch on Windows ME. All Norton Utilities stopped running to completion, restart just wouldn't. Lot's of crashes. System restore lost all it's restore points--I could go on. But yesterday, lo, another Microsoft update has completely cured all the problems. What can I say? It's too bad Bill!
