I have a Western Digital 250 gig hard drive which I am using on an external cradle which I use as a back up for my pc and laptop which are both less than a year old. How can I get the full capacity of the hard drive to work and not 128 gigs its reading. (I know that its not exactly 250 gigs) The model number is wd2500jb

# Navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Parameters registry subkey.
# From the Edit menu, select New, DWORD Value.
# Enter the name EnableBigLba, then press Enter.
# Double-click the new value, set it to 1, then click OK.
# Close the registry editor.
