Hello. I have a Toshiba Satellite C855 OS windows 7 home premium. I was going to reformat my laptop yesterday.. after restarting it with the windows installation CD is already inserted nothing happens :( and one thing.. my laptop doesn't have that toshiba thing before the starting windows screen. Like if you have an acer laptop, you'll see acer on the screen. Idk what its called I think BIOS??? My friends told me that's why maybe my laptop won't reformat. :( Please help me :(

All laptops / computers have BIOS. They wouldn't start otherwise, yours is simply not visible on start up. Try tapping Del or F2 or F9 and it may get you into the BIOS

Once there select CD/DVD drive as first boot option, ensure disc is in and "Save settings and exit" this will re start laptop and boot from disc.

Someone with a Toshiba may know the correct key or read your laptops manual.
