please could somebody help !

i have just bought a draytek vigor 100 modem and a d-link dir 655 router, desktop is running windows xp sp2 and laptop vista
modem is connected to d-link via cable from LAN 1 to d-link internet point then d-link is connected to desktop via ethernet cable.
I can connect to web with desktop, but when i try with laptop no luck, it can see the d-link router and connection is excellant but when i try to go on web it wont connect.Laptop will connect with just modem to internet but not via wireless card, i believe the vigor 100 is a bridge type modem so no set up
anybody have a suggestion (this is my first try at networking)

If your wireless network has been located but you cannot connect. Select advanced settings, delete your wireless connection, then go back to detect networks and click the connection to enter the encryption key set by your router.
