laptop wont boot

hi, when my mate turned her computer on it opened up on the dos screen with the option start windows normally she then tried to recover it with a boot restore after she restarted it again and went into start up repair which said windows cannot fix this problem she clicked finish it would blue screen quickly so you cant read the error code and start up again is there any possible way to boot or fix the computer ?

I guess you mean Restore to an earlier time and Repair from booting while tapping F8??

Other options on the F8 Advanced Boot Options are:

Disable automatic restart on system failure (so you can see the blue screen code)

Last known good Configuration.

And Safe Mode with Networking.

Have a go with those and post back with detailed results.

(what make and model computer is it and what Windows?)

i cant get onto the computer even in safe mode i disabled the automatic restart the error code is c000021a

can i restore the computer to factor settings ive got no repair disks or anything like that so is that the best thing to do or is there anything else

Boot to the command prompt and run chkdsk /f

ive ran a chk disk 7 data files processed i dunno if that means anythig but it hasnt picked anything up
