Laptop Wireless Problem.

I have here with me a brand new toshiba satellite laptop. However, there is a strange issue with the wireless. First of all, the laptop would connect to wireless, no problem.

Then, it would connect, but then disconnect after every few minutes.

Then, it would only detect networks, but it wouldnt connect to them.

Then, it wouldn't detect any networks.

Then i uninstalled the wireless device, as i was going to reinstall it with new drivers

Now however, the device is not picked up by the laptop, it just displays unknown device in device manager, and will not change, even when i reinstall drivers

What could possibly be the problem?

Not sure exactly, but it seems to be software related. Try a system restore to a time when everything was ok and see if this works

Have you tried installing software via the "add hardware wizard"
