Laptop wireless

Hi all,

The girlfriends wireless on the laptop is no longer picking up the home network. On occasion giving a message saying that there is a problem with a USB component?

Any ideas on where to start

O an for some unknown reason the active desktop keeps bringing up script errors and won't become "active"

You don`t say which operating system which would be useful but here`s one suggestion. Go to Device Manager which you can access via Control Panel>System. Remove all USB cables form the machine.

Now right click every component and uninstall them. Then reboot the computer. This will force the OS to re-install each and every USB driver and controller sets.

As for the Active Desktop try Gerbil`s solution click here It seems to be the most popular one on several other forums.
