I just bought a new Dynex LCD TV. I tried connecting it to my laptop (which runs XP) through a VGA cable. I have an ATI video card. The resolution on my laptop is set at 1280 x 800. If I go into display settings and go to the second monitor and click "Extend my windows desktop onto this monitor" If I do this and set the resolution at or below 1280 x 768 I get my wallpaper on the tv, if it is greater than that I get a message saying unsupported. I can get to the tv by moving my mouse offscreen. What I would like though, is to have my taskbar and all my icons from my desktop displayed on the tv screen. I can't figure out how to do this. Any help would be great. Thank you.
