laptop touchpad and mouse problem

I am able to use touchpad ok but wireless mouse does not. if i disable touch pad how do i navigate via keyboard to restore it should mouse not work.

You should have a key combination which toggles the touch pad on and off. On Acer laptops it tends to be Fn + F7

always look for the obvious. this was with my friends computer and it really helps if the usb hub to which the mouse was connected is actually connected to the computer.

both work on my HP laptop as they do on a Medion laptop I loaned my Daughter both run XP Home
