My laptop gets too hot. I have it sat on a tray on my lap. One of those cushion type trays. It feels hot and burns my legs (thighs) yet when I lift the laptop up and feel underneath it doesn't feel that hot.

use hard surface for your laptop like hard board.

I have one of the Above with three fans in it. but do not need it for my HP Laptop as it as a Centrino CPU, only needed for a Medion Laptop with a Celron Desktop CPU in it. Thats the Problem with cheap laptops they tend to fit Desktop CPU's that produce lots of heat and run the battery down fast
