Laptop thinks it has the wrong processor

Why wont it work 14:00 03 Dec 07

Hi, I know for certain that my laptop has an Intel C2D T7600 2.33ghz processor. CPU-Z and system properties tell me this, it's also on the spec sheet for my laptop. It would appear that Device manager thinks I have a T5600 1.83ghz though! click here

I have never seen this before, very strange. I just wondered if this is something I should be concerned about?

What does Belarc say? click here

Both Belarc and Everest Ultimate agree that it's a T7600. Although I have never really had any trouble with Vista, I am quite tempted to blame it for this!

A version of this perhaps? click here

thanks. I guess at some point the laptop had a T5600 in it then. I solved the problem by uninstalling the processor drivers and allowing windows to reinstall them. It now happily shows a T7600 :)
