Laptop startup

My laptop crashed and now when I switch it on, I get a screen which says "Windows - Delayed Write Failed Windows was unable to save all the data for the file XXX. The data has been lost. The error may have been caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere."

However, I keep clicking on OK but the screen reappears and I can't get past it to log on.

Any ideas?

Many thanks Bosmere. I'm sure the article is useful but I can't get the error notice to disappear for long enough to actually get to files on the computer. However, I will use the article for further research.

Try going into safe mode then check MSCONFIG From Run for the error message
