Laptop "Soundcard" advise needed

hello,

I will be getting a ,laptop shortly, not an expensive affair (£800 ish). What I want to know though, is what kind of sound cards go INSIDE laptops that will be of use to me for musical purposes (recording Audio etc at 24 bit). Do you get one that slot in or can you get external ones via USB? - it needs to be a low latency affair, as I will be running Cubase/Cakewalk on it (these are Audio/midi sequencers)

TIA:)

Thanks huggy! - very good link that, much cheaper than I thought (especially the fact that you can use it for laptops too.
