My son bought a latop 2 days ago. He put a password in. Logged in Ok 3 times but now it is saying password is not recognised and is incorrect.
Any ways around this? The operating system is Vista.

try typing the password in lower or upper case?

boot into safe mode (press F8 at startup to get the startup menu) and change it from here

As Terminus90 says ,restart the PC and keep pressing F8 until you get the OS Choices menu, select "Safe Mode". when safe mode is loaded click on Administrator and It should go to the desktop but this depends if the Administrator account is enabled or it will not work.

If not try this click here

Burn to a CD and boot from the disk. It isn't free, but i think the demo will let you use it for 30 days. You only need it once to solve the problem.

so that he thinks he is typing a capital letter when he isn't?
