Laptop Power Supply Unit

I have had my Multivision XPlorer laptop for some while now, and have noticed an annoying high pitched sound emitted through my speakers and from the laptop itself. Now I know this problem is common with 'dodgy' power supplies or perhaps cheaper power supplies within a desktop, and assume it is the same cause in my laptop.

I am also aware that some laptop components/upgrades are very complex, however I have never heard of anyone wanting to upgrade their laptop PSU. Is this possible and where will I be able to obtain a new PSU?

Regards

Nick

is this possible?

Very, very, very unlikely to be possible - the only people who would know would be the laptop manufacturers.

Are you sure you haven't got a built-in microphone unmuted? - this can cause a howl-round.
